That's not fast.

Apparently they might leapfrog GM and Honda for these battery cells.

I imagine a lighter one like this can get more range for that charge time. But maybe it doesn’t charge as fast since it’s cheaper?

Or the fact that this battery chemistry is still nearly as charge-rate limited as conventional cells. It's also more temperature sensitive which goes directly to charge/discharge rates.

General Motors is involved, so that's a hard no.

My sentiments exactly.

The Lyric looks like a very nice EV for women. But at 62K base, I'm not sure it would be a good call over some ICE vehicles in the same category. If 2030-35 is the industy target for phasing out ICE, I think many will just wait. Myself included.

Because GM's website says nothing about faster charging

Pretty sure GM's plan for faster charging was allowing you to use two chargers on their platform at once... sure that will help with the infrastructure.

I think the best future for me would be a plug in hybrid that uses the electric motors for performance but also could handle a typical in town commute on just the EV. Add that in a full size SUV or Truck that can tow a boat with unlimited range in hybrid mode please. I'd love for them to give the Rav4 prime treatment to the Tundra.

After 100yrs, GM still have a hard time making a reliable ICE car. I surely wont trust GM making an electric.

Saw a medical article regarding the harm to the human body by being in close proximity to these large batteries. I’ll try to find the paper again..
