re: Would the US be as rich and powerful today if Europe hadn’t wiped itself out twice?

That was Britain due to their empire. WWI changed that with our massive arms sales and loans to Britain. We drained them financially.
Not entirely true. We already had the world’s largest economy prior to WW1. It’s a bit iffy because India and the British’s other colonies aren’t included in their total because they were territories not actually part of the country. But even if you add in India’s economy to the British, the US still had the largest.

We had the worlds largest economy but the financial capital of the world was in London prior to WWI. After it was in New York

Capitalism and democracy are the reasons we’re the most powerful country. Europe’s destruction of itself twice over didn’t hurt either
I agree- and would add the abundance of critical natural resources to that, as well.

We'd likely be much the same philosophically as we were 103 years ago: isolationist with the only exception revolving around strengthening our economy.
But you forgot about oil.

Maybe...maybe not.
We were a global oil supplier at the turn of the 20th century and we're about to pass Saudi Arabia as the world's leading oil exporter in the 21st century. Perhaps without the world wars we would've been more likely to look to our own resources sooner?

stacks of green paper doesn't necessarily make you rich

the US wasn't really a major world player until WWI and WWII so no, I don't think that we would be. We would probably be better off because a lot of the changes to our government/economy during the Cold War have contributed to us playing world police and sinking in to debt over BS wars.

it would take quite a few discretionary spending categories to add up to the military expenditure.

with my admittedly superficial knowledge of the topic at hand, I would guess that it is a combination of factors with probably the biggest being WW2, followed by "american exceptionalism".
There are dozens of countries which were largely unaffected by the destruction of WW2 which did not prosper afterwards the way that we did.

We wiped our self out once, just to be fair.

WW1 was the greatest tragedy we’ve experienced since the fall of Constantinople.
