David Culbert for history. He was a leftard before leftards were cool.

Jason Blackburn for physical geography

Smart guy, but he taught a class at BRCC immediately after ours, so he would cram a 90 minute lecture into an hour. If anyone asked him to slow down, his response was typically like, "Come on guys, let's keep it moving". He also refused to post his lecture slides online because he claimed no one would come to class if he did.

I think damn near the entire class bombed on the first exam.

Anne Loveland, History. And it ain't even close.

I had a Western Civ class under her with a former LSU basketball player (now deceased) who was a friend of mine. He told me that she had confronted him and told him that she didn't like athletes and that he'd best toe the mark.

I think we both ended up dropping the class. I know I did.

It was, but I don't think that was the reason. Listening to her comments it was clear that she always hated working at a "jock" school like LSU...felt it was beneath her

I had Boris Rubin for Calc 3. He was Russian and he didn't give partial credit on anything. Never went to class and still made a B

Beaird for PHYS 2110. Decent teacher, but he was just a dick for no reason. Ended up with a B after studying my arse off the second half of the course.

Moorthy for CE 3400. His classes are just incredibly boring and he is very hard to follow. I used to keep track of how many times he would cough. Highest I've ever counted was 72 in one class period. "*cough cough* get ready for yo quiz ya"

Terrie White for MATH 1550. Very nice lady, but she would get at least two things wrong every class period. Didn't seem to know the material that well.

This one isn't really a bad teacher, but Gonthier for ME 2334. He is a very good teacher, but his tests are very hard. We started out with like 80 students. 18 took the final, maybe 11 of us passed. And that was with a curve. Happiest I've ever been to make a 60. I think like one person got a B, which was the highest grade in the class.

I believe he was getting his PhD at the time he was teaching the course. Must had that course nearly a decade ago if not longer. Also believe he left for florida for a faculty position and now a tenure track professor.

Gave us an exam the Monday after the Saints won the Superbowl. Dropped that class almost immediately after.

I thought so, but couldn't remember for sure. This was around 2004.

Like I said, smart guy, so perhaps that one class didn't do him justice, but I didn't take another with him.

I must've been lucky for physics because everyone seems to really hate Rupnick. I had Gregg. He was really boring.

Maybe teaching one other course and taking classes himself, along with research for a mere 13-15K at the time. Many had to teach at BRCC too just to have enough money to make ends meet.

Some guy named Britt for Calculus. He had a serious Napoleonic complex and had a bad attitude towards teaching. I quickly transferred sections to a class that had a human teacher.
He is also very disorganized and very lazy. He showed up late for a midterm exam and had no test papers. He goes to the board and write one equation in five parts for us to solve. Thirty minutes later after many people went up to ask him a question, he announces that he forgot to tell us that he will give partial credit for each part(!). So we have a five-question midterm, getting four correct depends on getting the previous part(s) correct. Complete dipshit.

Had an Asian guy teach Politics of Asia. He said if you come to class you will get an A regardless if you fail your tests. I didn't believe him but sure enough I got an A.

Had another teacher who said if you miss a quiz no matter the excuse, you get a zero. I missed because my apartment was destroyed in Gustav. She held firm and I reported her to the Provost. Needless to say, I got credit. She hated me the rest of the semester though.

Holy crap, I had him in 1992. What an unimaginative dorkus he was. I name a character after him, who is actually quite flattering.
