Breaking my neck is up there, getting a shot in my Achilles tendon is second, getting stitched up from a stabbing without any meds was pretty awful. But, suffering with a pinched disk for a whole weekend was the worse.

I'm a little disturbed by all of these gall bladder attack stories.
I was having kind of a chronic pain in my side. It hurt almost constantly for a year or two. Being a hard headed guy, I tried to ride it out, but it wasn't going away. So I broke down and went to a doctor in Apr, 2019. Diagnosis: Gall Stones.
As it turned out, they found some other things because I don't think I had been to a doctor since I broke my leg in 1992. One of the things was an elevated PSA of 17.1 or something like that. Which is bad. Prostate cancer trumps gall stones - or at least in my opinion. I dealt with that and left my gall bladder alone.
So, fast forward to today...
My side still hurts. I haven't had gall bladder surgery because I've already got too many doctors involved in my life. It hurts, but not so bad that it's debilitating. It's manageable. Just kind of a nuisance.
Then I read - on the OT, so I know it must be true - about you frickers experiencing the worst pain of your lives! I've had plenty of pain and not being a masochist, I'm not trying to set any new personal records.
Do I have to have surgery? You can't go to a barber without them recommending a haircut. Surgeons are the same way.

Broken ribs and Dry socket are bad but I don’t think anything can compare to back pain. Especially inflammation that catches nerves.

Not me but my wife (no pics). Went in for finger surgery 1 week ago.
She coded during anesthesia administration. They had to perform CPR while administering meds.
The rib pain she is experiencing is horrible. When the core of the body hurts everything you do hurts. Breathing, moving, have to attempt to sleep sitting up.
God forbid a sneezing or coughing attack occur - indescribable pain.
But blessed and happy she is alive.

Can someone who has been shot with a gun please chime in? Always wondered the level of pain getting shot would bring on
I definitely don’t recommend it, it hurts a rather large amount

It was summer 2001. I woke up early in the morning with massive stomach cramps. My dad rushed me to the ER and I was practically screaming because the pain was so bad. They had to inject me with some powerful pain meds to ease the pain. Turns out, as back in my teenage youth I had a bad habit of holding in my shits, there was a significant amount of back-up in my intestines. They had to give me a suppository to clean me out.
I never made that mistake again.

Appendicitis. Made me puke I was in so much pain. Actually managed to drive myself to a local redi-clinic without wrecking and they basically laughed at me and said I needed a scan asap. Pain hit around 8am and was in surgery that afternoon.
Initially felt like heartburn or gas and then it kept going lower to the lower abdomen.

The shot wasn’t bad, the nerve pain that stayed at an 11 out of 10 for a month then 6-7 out of 10 for a year and a half was miserable. I’ve had stitches 27 times, broken 7 bones, passed a 6mm and 5mm kidney stone, and had 7 concussions. I’ll take all those other injuries at once over getting shot in the neck again.

Knee surgery in 1988, I was almost 17 at the time. Patella re-alignment. Woke up post surgery in extreme, excruciating pain. That wasn’t the worst part though…….apparently teenage boys have trouble peeing after knee surgery, so, these cute younger female nurses had to insert a catheter to get me to pee.
