had an Uber driver a while back that only drove at night, and he told me he was making like $1000/wk when he drove. He had a day job too

I had a waiter the other night tell me he made 300 a night, worked 5 nights a week. 75000 a year.

EMP don't really do that badly once you toss in all of the tax exempt allowances they receive.

However, I would still be willing to be on-air and take the minuscule paycheck in a heartbeat. If you love what you do then money is just icing on the cake.

This for sure......Been in radio for 20+ years. We are a little different in that we buy a block of time and the re-sell it rather than be paid by a big media company. I'll never get "rich", though the perks of fishing and hunting trips and getting to meet new people in the industry is awesome. I love what I do....In the end it's just another job and doesn't make me any type of "celebrity"......people that act that way are the WORST.

The "danger" aspect of logging in most of the US is falling down from equipment either getting in or out of it

No idea. His family lived in Houston, and he was in New Orleans working for the Corps. Just drove Uber from after dinner until like 2am, and went back to work at 8am.

He did say that he cleans up on the Northshore. I'm guessing he gets the surge pricing there because there aren't that many drivers

This "danger" is still associated with this industry nevertheless

Yeah, it's pretty stupid IMHO. Most loggers are fully aware of what goes on at their sites. Hell, I've been chewed out by a logger for walking on the deck without radioing in that I was on the site. I was in charge of the guy too.

Rolling your ankle because you are an idiot =/= dangerous

The only really dangerous types of logging are the ones you see on Axe Men
