Stayed at an Econo Lodge in Birmingham on the way back from Auburn Alabama a couple years ago. It took 20 minutes to get hot water to the shower.

Once when I was staying at the Hyatt Regency in Seattle the maid left us only one bar of soap for the walk-in shower.
Not only that but the cord on the hair dryer was twisted and I had to untangle it.
I really let the general manager have it the next day.....

Hunting trip in north MS. Interior walls were plywood, and the floor was grocery store tiles. It was heated by a little wall mounted gas heater, and both wall and the floor sweated like crazy. If you rolled over against the wall in your sleep, you got soaked. You had to keep your boots by the bed in case you had to piss in the middle of the night.
I went to the front desk to get some towels one night, and the owner was back there taking bong rips. I should have known when I called to make the reservation, and when I asked if he needed my credit card info, he said "Nah man, you're cool." On the good side, zero fricks were given when we started skinning deer in the parking lot.
