I have a cousin that plans to wear a dress to his brothers wedding. I'll keep you posted. Depends on who all gets invited as to how bad it may get.

Two teenage sisters from my church died in a car wreck and my parents were friends of theirs so naturally we went to the funeral. Also naturally when you have bbq and baked beans you are going to get gas. I tried as hard as I could but the funeral was way too long for a 12 year old boy to hold it in. Finally, I turned to my mom to say I needed to use the restroom and when I did one of those sons of bitches snuck out and echoed off the metal chair. My dad's death glare haunts me to this day.

We all brough shovels to my great grandmother's funeral and filled the grave with dirt after the graveside service. I dont think that was bad, just different.

No but I heard they have sections in the graveyard for people who aren't church members.

The preacher story was from Texas.

I went to a wedding once where one of the groomsman wives displayed her newly silicon-ed breasts to all the other groomsmen. She was hot and bi-polar. That's all I got.

this is actually a pretty common tradition among old people...I have actually seen them take turns posing with the person who has passed. it is damn strange to me, but apparently acceptable in the past...

For me it's less of a tradition and more of a hobby. Sometimes I'll go to wakes for people I don't even know just to get some good selfies with the diseased for my snapchat story

Worked at a reception hall in Metry as a bar tender back in the '80's... Had a brother and sister who were standing in a friend's wedding.... Sister kept nagging and aggravating the brother the entire reception... After he'd been drinking the whole time, sister nagged him one too many times and he eventually knocked her out with a bunch.... Wasn't a good end to the wedding....

I'm sure everyone has been to a ridiculous wedding before, but what you describe is bullshite.

quote:

From a preacher at a funeral, he said the deceased was going to Hell and there was nothing good he could say about him. But that was not as bad as some gangsters who showed up at the funeral of the dude they gunned down, and wearing the deceased watch they took off his dead body. Shots were fired and the graveside service was canceled.

That is called "naggravating" or so my husband tells me, lol.

Bad funeral behavior? I confess, I laughed at my fiance's funeral.

I made a slight mistake involving my fiance's funeral. His family asked me for pics of him to enlarge and display at his funeral. I found a small but great one of him on a boat, holding a large fish with a huge smile on his face so I gave it to them. They enlarged it and had it on display. At his wake i was sitting with my son, looked at the pic and said " That is such a great pic of him...Oh my god is he naked in that pic???".

You could not see anything graphic but it was evident that behind the big fish he could not have been wearing anything. I was horrified and his ex-wife saw my face and said "Yes he is naked in the pic".

I tried to apologized to her and his family but they all laughed and said he was probably up in heaven laughing at how he pulled one last funny stunt on us and that he would not want us crying as we remembered him.

I had to laugh at how he would be roaring with laughter at me and what I did. Oh how I loved that man and the way he always made me laugh, even at his funeral.
