The results speak for themselves. Army teams took not just 1st place, but also took 2nd and 3rd as well.

This, and maybe a few in the Teams.

Delta snipers can shoot with anyone, even DEVGRU.

Elite marksmanship is just something the Army does better than the other services. The average Marine can outshoot the average soldier, and they train at longer distances. I concede that point.

But, not at the elite end. The Army runs the sniper school that everybody goes to.

I doubt the Marines sent their best people. The Corps doesn't waste money to go play games with army.

That much is very much true. I'm just trolling about the snipers. I have no idea how good army snipers are. But I was in the Marines for 15 years and am now in the guard. It's very obvious that the Army does not take fundamental marksmanship very seriously at all. It's a problem that needs to be addressed at basic training IMO.

Come on now. You know as well as I do that if there was a tiddly winks competition held by the US Army the Marines would send their best guys to go and try and win it.

You may be right when it comes to BRM for the average soldier versus the average Marine. I was armor so we never spent much time at all on the range with M-16's. In fact, we didn't even have to qualify with them, instead we qualified with the M9 Beretta.

The ability to acquire and hit a target from long range with a rifle is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to sniper skills.

Nah man, they really wouldn't. The team that went was probably from some infantry BN at Camp Lejeune that didn't have anything else going on.

I wish they would have sent their best guys. Hate losing to the fricking army

Lol at this thread. It's not a World's Best Sniper Competition if you don't send the world's most elite force to it.

Idk why but the back and forth between Darth and swoopin was making me crack up.

Geauxxx...everybody knows we've got the best sniper of all time on our side...Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock. Would've mopped the floor with these goons.

Well, if they didn't send their best people, then they most certainly wasted money playing games with the Army...

This was the same as letting some JV guys run one back in practice to build their confidence for the game Thursday night.

Marines don't compete with the army.
