I'm not sure when the last time his primary residence was in LA, I would think around ~15-20 years ago.
Many of the Waltons live outside Arkansas, just because they lived there at one point doesn't mean Arkansas can claim them as their billionaires (Example: Alice Walton is the richest person in Texas).

Christy Walton, who inherited a stake in retailer Wal-Mart, retains the title of world’s richest woman. The widow of John Walton has held that spot for five out of the past six years. FORBES pegs her net worth at $41.7 billion, up from $36.7 billion a year ago.
and, of course, WYHI?
I really liked her in that wrestling movie a few years ago

Chouest is the wildcard, I have seen estimates from 4 to 17 B.
I've heard $7-12 billion from people close to him.

William Robinson? He founded DHL but I'm not sure he's a billionaire, who knows though. As secretive as Chouest is Robinson takes it to a whole new hermit type level.

That may be him, this guy was also a very large land owner and made a pretty penny when the Haynesville was booming. I was thinking Davidson so Robinson may be it.

I wonder what Jim Bernhard is worth after selling Shaw to CBI?

From another poster, also he is the majority by a big margin.

Largest land owner in that state and its some of the best property in the state. He is on the idol list with a couple other wildcatters.

Ask his SIL, he posts here.
Posted on 3/3/15 at 6:39 pm to GREENHEAD22
If he was worth anywhere near close to $7b then Forbes would have his name listed.
Not to mention he wouldn't have even thought about being a partner in owning the Pelicans. He would have just bought them outright. People like that don't partner up with other people.

Are you the SIL that shot that monster deer last year I think it was?
Either way I am big time jelly if you get to hunt his property.

You said it was 4 in which case the principle would still hold so which post are you redacting?
Posted on 3/3/15 at 6:48 pm to GREENHEAD22
I'm thinking it's closer to $4b. That's been the number thrown around the industry for a while now. With the Bollinger deal, it may be more, it could be less.
Eta: I'm not really sure what post I'm supposed to be redacting.

If you made a flat $1M a day you would get to $41.7B dollars in 114 years.
That's not how it works of course but it tells you how much money it is.

He is sole owner now. He bought out Laney and Edison Jr years ago.

He has plenty of other assets, but probably not 5 billion

How close is Arlen "Benny" Cenac to being a billionaire. He sold Cenac for close to $600,000,000 and had a lot of money before that.
