your casual Friday is nicer than my meeting with executives day

I wear a suit with no tie most days, but can get away with a button and slacks with no jacket if I don't have any meetings.

Our c-suite guys, who I sit near, don't even wear ties and we're a Fortune 100 company with execs making tens of millions of dollars after bonuses.

So I guess you could say we have a low ceiling/high floor when it comes to how fancy our dress code is.

There are people who wear much more casual shite than me on Friday though, but those people are going no where to be honest. Like secretaries and lifelong, overweight corporate accounting people.

I'd also like to add Rockport as well. Both are pretty stylish and comfortable af.

They really aren't.

Quality has gone down big time.

I just bought some Meermin dress shoes (rec'ed on here) and they are really top quality, especially for the price. Goodyear Welt, etc. You should check them out, similar price for J&M.

Taking a minute to break in, but you can tell they are sturdy AF and will last most of my life if I take care of them.

I've been considering ordering a pair from them. I mostly rotate between Allen Edmonds and Rancourt but need a new pair of black shoes for work and wanted to try something different.

Justins or Ariat slip on steel toes

Wasnt too impressed with the new seamless Ariats, lasted less than 3 months. The ol trusty Justins have held up the last 2 years they're just pretty uncomfortable if you dont keep fresh insoles on em

ETA Laces are for weak ankled office hands

I highly recommend. They are stiff as a board when you get them, but they are built incredibly well. I can tell they'll last a while and they're starting to get really comfortable. Solid customer service too that helped me with sizing.

$195 price point for most of their shoes is a steal IMO.

FWIW, I have 2 pairs of Johnston and Murphy's, 2 Allen Edmonds,
1 Mezlins, and 1 pair of Bruno Magli's. The Meermin shoes hold up with the best of them.

Interesting adjective you chose considering your shoes provide significant ankle support and dress shoes don't

It's casual Friday and I am rocking these with my skinny jeans and a hawaiian shirt.
