I got 995/1000 on my 14th guess for 103. It took me til 36 to get the word.

Yeah the actual word was absolutely not what I was expecting when I hit the final submit button.
After being stuck on 995 for dozens of guesses, I hit on 998/1000. Then I immediately made the unconfident winning guess which turned out to be the actual answer.

I tried it and got a couple but I think the algorithm is still pretty rough.

ETA: I just got it in 76... I guessed a version of the word 56th and it was only 608/1000

got it in 47 which is by far my best. was at 372/1000 on guess 6....it was a long road to get from 372 to 1000 lol

I’m on a lucky streak. The closest I got before getting it was 944/1000.

Finally played for the first time after seeing this thread for past few weeks. Got #104 in 26 guesses. I’m guessing I should quit now because it looks like this might be the closest I ever get!

Yeah I was going to say the same. All of those can be prefix-like or descriptive to the word landing
