It always amazes me that people think pickups are "safe". They have by far the worst active safety of any passenger vehicles and passive safety is well behind SOTA compared to cars. Per capita, there are by far the most likely to be involved in single-vehicle accidents.

Trashy or not, women should not be allowed to drive trucks or jeeps. Why do we allow this as a society?

I'm on my 5th Silverado; which, I'm partial to the 2006-2007 in single cabs no matter what's new.
(I admit my other car is a luxury German sport's car.)
The thing is, my number one Silverado was my HD 3500 dually. It was the safest because it gave me more contact with the road.
Each to their own in regard to the OP's wife.
When I'm not in a skirt business suit, I have no reason not to be the cowgirl I am.
