I understand and get where you're coming from, you just aren't doing a good job of voicing your opinion.
You would think two people would have discussed getting married before a ring is bought. You'd also think if someone is going to make such a big purchase they'd want the person to have some input and be what they wanted as well.

buddy proposed, she said yes, then she got upset after the appraisal and called it off. His gain, but it was such a dodged bullet.
Guy has a house and everything, she was upset he only spent like 800 on it
