Going all the way to the last pic in the news article it looks like this happened during the day?

I wonder how someone gets that drunk that early.
You can tell by the shadow off the car that the sun is setting in the west. It's probably late afternoon. It's not that hard to get that drunk by that time.

Damn. BAC above .4 leads to death or coma or respiratory failure.

Wouldn't you be dead with a BAC .451?

451? How was she even concious?

This wasn't her first rodeo... At that level, she was beyond drunk, and, as another poster put it, she has no idea what she did. However, if she was still functioning enough to operate a vehicle, she is likely hitting the bottle daily. She never has a normal BAC.

She has no idea what she did.

I took care of a dude in the hospital once. He was my patient a whole weekend. The first conversation I had with him was normal and lucid. He was at .460. The rest of the weekend he was sedated or shaking or hallucinating. He "functioned" at a level we'd be hammered.

Also not even close.

Polish guy had over 1.42%

He beer bombed industrial grain alcohol.

Hell they had a guy in rhode island two years ago who was pulled over for his brake light being out and then proceeded to gag the cops with the overwhelming smell of alcohol coming from his breath. He was .9 and change.

Best part, he passed all field sobriety tests.

She was not watching the kids and one parent makes it clear that he would never have allowed his kids to ride with her.. The Drunke son is described as a very sweet kid who was friends with the family that had 3 kids involved in the accident.. The kids walked over from one house but were supposed to have gone to another.. one of them asked her to give them a ride within the neighborhood to the house they we're supposedly heading to originally.. For some unknown reason she choose to leave the neighborhood and head out towards the gas station..

It's different for every person. For someone who doesn't drink often, you may see those effects at that BAC. On the other hand, a habitual alcoholic may not see those effects until a much higher BAC.

Yep. She was probably shaking heavily by the time she got to the jail.
