I love how moral trashiness forces the authorities to use euphemisms like "dating" to try to describe a relationship. They were dating like Hitler didn't "care for" Jews.

Ironically in the midst of all the tragedy of this story, the POS did the kid somewhat of a favor, probably permanently removing himself (the father) from the kid's life.

Somebody's gotta catch the shrimp.

Why belittle shrimpers?

That's a pretty messed up viewpoint.

The way the article is written, it looks like the guy just left the 1 year old on the beach by him or herself, too, to make his getaway.

Just an all-around POS.

Um, I said it was a "tragedy", I certainly don't think killing the mother is something trivial. It's tragic.

The kid is the surviving victim here. It's best interests are served by getting a POS out of the picture. That's all I meant. That's easily understood by anyone who has ever had anything to do with CASA or adoption. Lighten up, Francis.

Chauvin resident Jennifer Dorzier was stabbed to death on Grand Isle Saturday.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested Dorzier's longtime boyfriend Randy Paul Marcel of Pine Street in Chauvin on charges of second degree murder.

Police received word of the stabbing on the beach near Cypress Lane at 10:30 p.m. Saturday night. A witness looked on as Dozier was stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso, according to Glen Boyd, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer.

Her assailant fled leaving the her one-year old child with Dorzier who police found dead on the sand, Boyd said.

Boyd said the couple had been drinking and the argument arose over cigarettes or drugs.

Marcel was found by police a grassy area three blocks away and booked into Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.

The child is now in state custody.

I'm pretty sure I saw that cat walking towards Cypress Lane from Jo-Bob'/Conoco Station around 9:55 PM. Guy I saw looked very similar to the pics posted, looked super fricked up (could barely keep his flip flops on) stumbling around. Crazy

wonder at what point did he decided that 50 stab wounds was enough. Why not 23?

Cops or forensic experts?. Not trying to diminish the brutality of this crime(or any) , but Isn't every 'cut'(defensive or offensive) wound with the knife considered a 'stab' wound?

I always hear 'stabbed 75 times' & thought that if a person grabs a knife with both hands & it cuts through each finger, hand ,etc.......those are counted as 'stabs' to make the crime seem mire heinous?

I had no idea Grand Isle had its own police department. Can't be more than a couple officers, right?
