No it wasn't. Like someone else mentioned...this was hinted about for weeks online. Look at the election board.

There’s still a difference about talking about it and doing it. That doesn’t really excuse for not taking it seriously but there’s still a difference. If something tells you something bad might happen, you think it’ll probably be nothing so you do nothing. Once something bad has occurred, you then are forced to take more precautions. Government agencies are known for doing that all the time. They probably expected it to be like the Trump supporters that were gathering at the Michigan capital during the summer. The BLM protests had more a history of spiraling out of control.

You still haven’t told me why you’re so certain that if the crowd were mostly Muslim or non-white, they would’ve been dealt with much more harshly. Maybe even shot.

that echo chamber that admins allowed everyone there free reign of posts basically encouraging the seditious acts you saw yesterday.

A certain owner won’t admit it but he lets it happen because the board brings him plenty of clicks

Calm down....BluegrassBelle said they overreacted. I'm trying to get her to explain what she meant by that statement but she seems to be crawfishing.

IDK, if you dont want to get shot, you dont storm a building with armed guards, break a window and break in....

no they dont....a superbowl every 5-10 years is not a regular basis.

Who the frick goes to Minnesota and Atlanta?

Miami is nothing special besides for a Superbowl more often than any other city

No, they lack intelligence by believing shooting her was the reasonable thing to do when armed guards were5 feet away.

How is that "arrogant?"

Did you believe that in the summer 2020 riots?

If somebody was shot and killed when trying to break through a window I have no sympathy for them. People who were starting fires, looting, and attacking others get no sympathy.

However, there were plenty of cases of protestors getting attacked by police who were doing nothing wrong and those instances should absolutely be condemned. If there were people outside who did not attack the Capitol that got beat I would be against that shite too. There is a difference between legit protest and violence.

That isn't what happened in the Capitol at all. She was part of a direct attack. These weren't people doing a sit-in in the halls. They straight up broke in, trashed the place, and were trying to get at Congress.

Keep riding that disingenuous frickhead train.

We use extensive security measures for crowd events all of the time that have absolutely nothing political affiliated with them. Sometimes that includes calling in the National Guard, Homeland Security, etc. (like I pointed out with the Super Bowl for instance).

There's no good reason that shouldn't have occurred yesterday because we knew they were gathering en masse.

I can't speak for DC, but when you file for a permit here to even protest you have to ensure appropriate security will be provided. Multiple groups applied and were approved permits to gather during this week in DC. Why wasn't appropriate security provided? I think that's a valid question.

Atlanta has hosted the Final Four several times. Minneapolis has hosted the Final Four a few times. They typically average upwards of 140,000 fans at those events.

You linked what I posted out of context to suit your "gotcha".

Everyone else here agrees you have a rather large lack of reading comprehension on that.

I was pointing out that it would've been appropriate to bring in the National Guard beforehand as we've done so in non-political events quite often when expecting large crowds.

Maybe that action alone allows them to keep these people out of the US Capitol and prevents her shooting.
