Well, I hope she died instantaneously. All the arguing over Endymion is fane and all, but your heart has to go out for this woman. From the initial reports it seems like she made a bad decision, probably one of many.

Sad. We have gone on Friday night for years in front of Xavier Prep. Great spot, this is sad all the way around.

She was cut in half, I’m sure it was quick. Horrible situation

I was on 32 two of the past three years.

You are wrong. Soot was cheaper than purchasing masks, so the riders put ash, soot or whatever they had on their faces.
Also commonly used was cow dung.

I’m on 31, I might not even be on my float by 6.
Good friend and former co-workers all ride on Papa Joe's SS Endymion. Have been riding on it forever. Love to go see them (ride and stroll up Orleans), but will have to miss this year. Wife is taking my arse out of town.

I had heard this, but wasn't sure if I believed it. DAMN.

Unfortunately, believe it.

Can’t wait for some dipshit to post it somewheres and for everyone to lose their shite afterwards

Definitely not.
Just noting what it takes to move the needle around here.

Idk, I don’t think most people watching at that location are the kind of folks to take pics and post it on 4chan. That’s a pretty family friendly spot.

Maybe a third or fourth confirmation, but direct from friend ON Float 21, victim was split in half.

Yeah....we were stopped and she figured she could go through the tandems floats and she tripped and when she tripped we started to roll and that's when she was run over.
Across. Her stomach was flat split from her body. It was the worst thing I've ever seen
*Directly from the rider on Float 21

My fiancée was on the tandem float that ran that the lady over. She said she definitely felt a long bump and a rumble. She didn’t understand what it was, because she never felt something like that. She’s a MD, so after she heard what exactly happened, she said that woman absolutely suffered a horrible death, being split in half. I just finally managed to bring her home through all the traffic. It is absolute chaos by the convention center right now.

Pretty much exactly as my friend described it. Horrible thing to witness and be a part of. Says it will take some time to get that image out of her head.
