Took care of a kid that HAS NO NOSE now because his grandmother's pit BIT IT OFF when he was a toddler. Now he is like 10 and has gone through several painful surgeries...and still has no nose. He will forever be horribly disfigured(it makes you want to cry when you see him cause you just know he will go through life with everyone gawking at him).
Pits can't be trusted. Too many stories of pits that were not raised to be aggressive that just suddenly turn...and seriously injure a human.
There are too many breeds of dogs in this world. Get one that doesn't have the jaw strength to bite your face off.
Have you ever treated a gunshot wound? What should we do with that entity that caused it?

It's pretty easy...start handing out jail sentences and fines. Make one of the punishments reduction in welfare benefits or mandatory trailer seizures....may cut down on the pit population.

Yeah I call BS. Sure maybe a lab would become a lot meaner, maybe some other dogs would too. But dogs have instincts, have you ever tried to get a non retriever to retrieve? Or a non pointer to point? Not all dogs fight like a pit will fight, especially going after necks and faces like they do.

Actually the opposite. In the days when dog fighting was a thing, human-aggressive dogs were put down almost 100% of the time. They needed to be outgoing and friendly with all people. Read up on it.
