My grandpa got half his leg blown off in Korea and he didn't need a freaking siberian mastif to accompany him in public. Service Dogs are stupid.

I'm surprised by the service dog hatred on here. Not only that, regardless of the dog issue, civil human beings shouldn't explode like that chick did. I'd have no problem if the guy had pulled out some mace and let her have it. Learn some god dang manners. If a store allows service animals and you don't like it, then get the frick out.

I'm torn on service dogs. They are definitely abused.
Yes, but this is a veteran.

No, you miss the point. It's the abuse by people of purported service dogs that people hate. I don't know that I've ever seen someone here hate on a blind person's service dog, only the shite people who try to exploit the service dog law to bring their pets everywhere.

Woman is an idiot. There are people abusing the system but I wouldn't just assume that someone is doing that and berate them. Him being a veteran is pretty irrelevant though.

A God damn Great Dane is not a freaking service dog.
Why not? They are very calm and gentle dogs, maybe that is what that veteran needs. Notice the dog doesn't even bat an eye at the lady's outburst and just calmly stands there.
I do agree that the people are rampantly abusing the whole service animal thing. Which sadly makes those that legit need them being unfairly grouped with those that are just playing the system to have an excuse to bring their pet with them.

I doubt the people wanting to bring their dogs with them everywhere they go are abusing the dogs physically or mentally.
Now, jackholes buying a vest off the Internet just so they can tote around their untrained little shite dogs are definitely abusing the system.
The way this guy's dog stayed perfectly calm and still, even while that beast started whooping, hollering, and getting in the master's face is a perfect example of a certified and well trained comfort dog that should be allowed to join their owner anywhere in public.
I know my Chessie would never cut it as a service animal because the minute that lady raised her voice and invaded mine or my wifes personal space she would have have had her throat ripped out.

i get the debate as to whether or not a dog should be in the place. But, why can't people just have a conversation about it? Why all the screaming and bitch this and bitch that and frick this and frick that?
If the crazy woman is to be believed, that isn't far from what happened. Oh, don't doubt she was rude about it, but someone from the filming party seemed to rush over to "correct the misunderstanding about how they had a right to be there."
This vid is the aftermath.

He didn't mean the dogs are abused.
He meant the privileges associated with the service dog label are.
They were originally common with blind individuals....but now it seems you can get one even with mild anxiety issues

Unless you're fricking blind, leave your dog outside.

What about the dogs for those with diabetes and seizure disorders?
