watch monsters inside me, doctors are very inept.

and after watching a few episodes and these dopes miss diagnosing people, you will pray to stay healthy.

Some of the failed diagnosis are laughable at best. Ladies skin, on her leg is being eaten away, and they called it poison ivy and gave her ointment! LOLOLOL

Actually, that's what I'd put my money on.

Shocker. Doctors are bad at diagnosing obscure parasitic infections that look like numerous every day diagnoses

What do you do for a living?

Just another example of Monday morning quarterbacking

Whoever convinced the world that those triplet pictures were less annoying than your standard vertical picture needs to be shot.

Obscure?? many would of been diagnosed if they weren't so fricking lazy, and just did the blood work. Instead they come out with some asinine diagnosis, and then of course, pushing drugs to the person.

They're human. Go figure. Standards and expectations put on doctors and the medical field are unreasonable. For every person like her there are thousands who just have a bobo and need some rest. It's allocation of time to try to spend time on those that they are able to judge need the attention most, not laziness.

They made a misjudgment. Everyone does. No process will ever be perfect, and there are diminishing returns. Yes, even when lives hang in the balance, sometimes extra care to try to reduce error as close as possible to 0 isn't worth the expense. Resources are not infinite. It's just that when doctors make mistakes lives occasionally hang in the balance, so you expect an unreasonable amount of perfection.

doctors lazily handing out antibiotics is alway a hot topic issue we have

Wish it was that simple. You and your insurance company have zero liability when a doctor chooses not to prescribe and antibiotic and the pt develops a more severe infection. Sometimes it's lazier to not prescribe it and call everything viral. Especially now that BCBS here in AR is starting a "value care" initiative for not rx'ing antibiotics amongst many other things, I can give you an endless list of bullshite I've had to see and deal with after the prior MD has gone to great lengths not to prescribe an antibiotic to help protect their metrics.

If they're wanting to sue the MD in the case disussed in the OP, just imagine if he didn't prescribe an antibiotic at all.

I will just have to get sued. I am not ordering all that crap. If people want to get sick and come to the ER, they better get sick with local diseases. I am not chasing zebras. I have too many entitled Democrats coming for their Lortab and Xanax refills to worry about exotic illnesses.
