I had a dumb bitch do something similar to me when waiting tables a few years ago. There were 4 of them that came in on a Sunday after church. One ordered a flavored lemonade and the others ordered water. She then kept passing her drink around the table for everyone else to drink. Every 2 minutes she'd flag me down, even if I was helping another table, for a refill. I didn't say anything but my manager saw what was going on. He asked me about it and I told him. He approached the table and told them that he'd have to charge them if they continued passing it around. They laughed and said ok. 5 drinks later they were still doing it so my manager told me to ring up 3 more drinks. Needless to say they were pissed when they got the bill. I was stiffed, but it's not like that type of person was going to tip to begin with. I never really disliked people until I started waiting tables. It really opened my eyes as to how ignorant and trashy people could be.

Way to make this about race like others. Cut her some slack. At least she was not out killing her own family, downloading child porn, or mass shooting.

When my wife worked at Outback in Metry a while back, there was a Luther's BBQ next to it... Luther's use to have all you can eat ribs on Tuesday nights...

Well long story short, women, of the same demographic nature as the op's story, would always come in and argue with my wife saying they wanted the "all you can eat dere ribs"...

She was constantly telling them that was Luther's not Outback... She even had to get the manager involved a lot of times...

Reminds me of that Curb scene:

Hello, I'm Hiriam Katz, attorney-at-law. Maybe I can straighten this out.

First of all, in your implied contract with this man there is nothing that allows you to restrict what he does with your product after he purchases it, so he can do whatever wants with the food. And secondly, if you suspect that he's stealing another buffet from you, you'd have to be able to establish prior intent. Now can you prove prior intent? I didn't think so. So in the absence of that, I'm afraid there's really nothing you can do except probably apologize to these people and maybe buy them a round of drinks.
