Odds you have the flu, as in influenza, is low. Those viruses that people get that last 1-2 days, not the flu. 4-7 days of wretched hell, maybe the flu. Tamiflu is the bomb and cuts the duration and intensity significantly.
See a doctor and get tested if you think you have the actual flu. Tell work so people can prepare since you were probably contagious yesterday.

That's how the 1918 flu started. People began getting sick in the summer and pretty soon they were dropping like flies.

had flu symptoms in the summer once, thought I'd let it just run its course, ended up in the hospital and doc told me if I'd waited another day I probably would have died, turned out to be sepsis

1 out of 20 people that say they have the flu actually have the flu...... The Flu killed millions of people. The flu knocks you out for multiple days. It is not a stuffy nose, a cough and a sore throat, like most people have when they say they have the flu.
