It's pathetically sad people could watch this video and side with the freaks with the flag. Same with all these protests. People running up to closed businesses and throwing things through windows. On what planet is that possibly ok?

Burnng a flag that I own isn't the same as throwing a brick through someone else's window.

What other offensive speech would y'all like banned? Does it occur to some of you that the 1st is there specifically to protect the government from outlawing offensive acts of speech?

I haven't watched this Facebook favorite video, but if he took their property he should be charged.

Flying a flag at night without a light shining on it is also disrespectful. I assume the FedEx guy could just show up and take those flags too?

What about Anerican flag shorts and the person is sitting on the ground? Lots of people gonna get pantsed.
I can appreciate the effort, but you'll never be the contrarian I am.

There is a small chance that another country may take them in. They would have to get a job though. This is why they just stay here and whine.

The cloth itself? Not important at all. Protect it from what, anyway?

Tangerine, let me put this in terms we all can agree on...

If you are going to put a klansman outfit on and walk around in public, rightfully so it should draw the ire of a few people and you might get punched in the mouth...

Because that cloth means more than just cloth.

Just as in this case burning that star spangled cloth drew the ire of someone willing to punch them in the mouth.

Just because it means nothing to you, doesn't mean it doesn't mean nothing to people that sweat, bled and died for it.

Law is outside this case for drawing in conflict, the FedEx guy did not care for the consequences of law, even if he would've broke it.

Absolutely absurd statement.

You can't legally set your house on fire. You can't legally set your car on fire. You can't even legally set your trash on fire in most places. Freedom of speech does not give you the right to go burn a flag in the middle of a city.

Think before you post.

That's a slap in the face to anyone that has ever served to defend that flag

Really? That is what they fought for, a symbol? Or, could it be for the freedoms that symbol represents?

Seems some some snowflakes care more qbout symbols than freedom.

You are free to voice your displeasure but if you 'punch someone in the mouth' you should be arrested and charged. Regardless of the symbol or lawful activity.

Put another way: Should liberals be free to punch someone holding up a Trump sign? Or consevatives someone with a BLM sign?

So long as the government doesn't restrict an offensive activity and people don't resort to violence or physical contact I am cool with citizens yelling at each other.

In fact, I do not agree with that. They should be free to walk around in Klan outfits . And if someone punches them in the face they should be arrested and prosecuted . The right to walk around in Klan outfits should be protected at all cost. It's not the message in free speech that is of any importance in these issues. It is the moral, ethical, and legal right to express whatever views, even with flagburning

I can most certainly destroy my property so long as I don't endanger others, request gov assistance, or seek insurance reimbursement.

And the Supreme Court disagrees with your flag burning assertion.

True. The same people who are crying about their "rights being taken away" are standing out in the streets perfectly demonstrating that they haven't. At the same time, they are just being extremely disrespectful to the people who have died fighting for that symbol.

Who cares?

The same exact thing could be said about everything these flag burners stand for. I'm all for them peacefully protesting. However, there are much better ways to be taken seriously.
