If she can identify as a male and we have to let her run for Prom King, how can you argue against other people who want to do the same in order to manipulate the system?
Can I, as a Caucasian, identify as a Pacific Islander or some other minority in an attempt to get scholarships and grants? Can I identify as a woman in an effort to get women-only scholarships?
I tend to not give a shite about this kind of thing when it doesn't affect me - like gay marriage for instance - but this gender identity shite is getting out of hand.
We aren't "assigned" a sex at birth. It isn't a choice. If you want to be a boy, that is fine by me, but I shouldn't be obligated to treat you as a male when you are in fact a female.

I tend to think the Pandora's box argument is ridiculous with some of the pro-LGBT rulings that we've seen, but this is one where I have to draw the line. There are already documented cases of people taking advantage of "gender identity" for perverse reasons, and it will only get worse. I also fail to see how you can keep it contained to sex. If a man wants to be a woman, and we have to treat him like a woman and give him the same benefits that a woman would have, how can you stop someone from identifying as an object or another race in order to manipulate the system?
It may sound ridiculous, but people are already taking it there, so it is worthy of a discussion.
