They could only give you cash? Not a check?
How much? You could buy a postal money order for $25 per $1000 I think and then mobile upload it.
A local bank may do something like that for you too IdK.
If it’s under $5,000 as others have said just keep it as cash and use it slowly.

Old school...but Amex still issues Travelers Checks. Travelling with cash in the military this was HIGHLY encouraged.
