which is why getting the band of ice, then snow on top is a very bad thing.

But should I be concerned with getting home around 5 pm tomorrow evening?

VERY CONCERNED.......... Everyone that has to cross abridge to get out of Baton Rouge tomorrow needs to do so by noon or there is a great chance of being stuck In BR for two days..........

NWS Forecast for New Iberia. I bolded the areas of concern, particularly the .2 to .4 of an inch of ice accumulation. NWS forecast from this morning had .1 to .2 of an inch of ice. 4/10 of an inch would be a disaster IMO:

This Afternoon - A 20 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 58. North wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight - A slight chance of rain before midnight, then a slight chance of freezing rain. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday - A chance of freezing rain before noon, then sleet likely. Cloudy, with a high near 32. North wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New ice accumulation of 0.2 to 0.4 of an inch possible. New sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday Night - Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. North wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday - A 20 percent chance of snow before noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 27. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. East wind 5 to 10 mph
