You seem unsure as to whether you're actually coming from Gonzales. Once you figure that out, we can help to answer your first question.

That's what I'm trying to figure out right now. If it's worth going to the game.

Really?

It's coming down really hard here. Maybe this is the last of it.

It should be a pretty good game.

Hwy. 30 the whole way. Leave early and take your time. Shouldn't be any issues.

People don't go to games in good weather, I don't know why so many want to be there tonight.

In all honesty I've been looking at tickets online throughout the day. I figure being in driving distance without having to get on any major roadways (Prairieville) I might as well use this day off to go to the game.

rds and tom do yall have degrees in atmos sciences? If so where did yall study?

Yes, but I'm not a meteorologist. I have degrees in weather forecasting, atmospheric sciences, and have taken several graduate level courses in meteorology. I've studied at numerous schools because some of my coursework has been via distance education, but my master's degree is through Penn State. I'm also considering adding a graduate certificate in environmental studies or similar so that I can branch out and do more consulting than I already do right now.

Troop B (New Orleans Area) Advisory:
DOTD is reporting that the Lower Algiers to Chalmette Ferry service has been suspended due to ice forming on the ferry landings.
Troopers are beginning to see ice forming on the Huey P Long Bridge rails (pic below). DOTD and Jefferson Parish Officials are monitoring the bridge and utilizing salt where needed in an effort to keep the bridge open. Troop B road closure and traffic advisories will be posted here, so stay tuned.
