re: Will Smith (NFL) shot dead in NOLA

who knows, maybe he wasn't after the cop. Will was the cops friend so maybe he felt like killing the cops friend since NOPD killed his worthless dad. I'm just not buying road rage with the dude having the record he does and the other weird stuff.
I am 100% sure this wasn't self defense though with what we know and the fact he was the aggressor the entire time. He ran into will, he walked up to wills car with a fire arm.

From an Advocate article:
I want to believe a retired cop wouldn't drive a thugged out Impala, too.

Ceravolo, who called Smith and Thomas personal friends, said he was not at the scene of the shooting when it occurred

Possible the thug saw him with will and followed him because of that.

If he was really after the cop, why didn't he open fire on him when he got out of the Impala?
Devil's advocate...if he got drew on first, not much of a choice unless kamikaze

Also, if your friend's vehicle is getting shot up and you have a gun, wouldn't you shoot the perp?

Sometime definitely sounds fishy, & it ain't the crawfish

Well apparently he wasn't with him so the previous posters comments are invalid. The fact that they stayed around (not by force) after they shot Smith leads me to believe they knew it was a mistake and will try the self-defense stance.

I think the news is saying the cop wasn't there

My little sister wants to watch the press conference, but lives in L.A. Is it gonna be streamed anywhere online?

ESPN News is going to carry it live.

I see that..being that we are in April, did find it odd it's almost 10 years to the day of his father's death., reads like a Criminal Minds episode

I think we are at a purely coincidental area right now... I don't think the Smith was a target or the cop. If Smith was followed from the restaurant he would know the cop went in another direction.

Live press conference is a cop out.

I'm kind of glad. NOPD has fricked up a lot of investigations. They gave enough and held back enough. I wanted someone to ask if Pierre was in the G63.
Sounded like it happened quickly also b/c Ceravolo was in the Impala

Ceravolo wasn't in the impala according to what the officer said in the press conference
Posted on 4/10/16 at 1:44 pm to TGHub
IIRC, he said a retired NOPD officer was in the Impala. Since they were at dinner together, I'm assuming it was him.
Ah yeah, he was very evasive about that question in the press conference, and said they were at dinner together right before.

The way he answered the question was confusing, but he said the retired officer was with Smith at dinner. He then said to his knowledge the officer was not at the scene of the crime.
