I agree. Honsetly I think manslaughter is the appropriate conviction with a 40 year sentence.

Yes. One he is in prison until he dies, and one he gets out around 50-60 years old with good behavior

Can the ballistic experts be trusted?? I mean if they say that only one gun was fired ... And CH says otherwise ... Who do you believe??

Or can the NOPD be trusted?? Removal/planting of evidence??

I'll say again I'm so glad I'm not on that jury. And I hope to never be on one with this much at stake.

Seems the jury is closing in on verdict at least on the murder count. Request for 2nd deg. murder instruction probably good sign for state.

A juror just asked the judge what is the legal definition of self-defense. Lord.

I don't agree with manslaughter with the wife being shot twice and Smith being shot 8 times in the back. He would have killed Racquel that night if he would have aimed better, IMO.

If he is convicted of manslaughter, he needs to be retired for attempted murder on Racquel. No reason for him to get out of the slammer in 20 years for what he has done.

I assume this would deal in Racquel's shooting

Like I said a few days ago, I think some of those the black jurors will be hesitant to convict him

Them staying this late is insane especially after the closings. I know that they're tired and want to go home but everything is often clearer after a decent nights sleep.
