I'm looking for a straight answer here, Saint. You've been in this case since jump street. I'm looking for an answer as to why Hayes shot Racquel and you want him acquitted.
I honestly don't think anyone actually knows for sure but CH and he didn't say and if he did I don't know how much stock should be put in it.
I will give my opinion that I don't think he was meaning to shoot her and obviously didn't want to kill her. I think most likely is something to do with her being inbetween him and Will and possible tussling or grabbing for the gun. Guess it could be a ricochet.
I honestly don't have that answer my man.

LE is the worst (just my opinion Lester) at flaming arguments.
Pride at least asked "who has the responsibility to prove their case" way early on in this thread. When he learned the state had an affirmative duty to prove, he took that and ran with it.

If she were in fact between them, there is no way Smith shoots at another man with his wife in front of him (1), and (2) Smith is not an imminent threat to Hayes with someone between them.

IMO, early on, the state didn't do a very good job of proving Hayes didn't fear for his life/bodily harm. Their witnesses were all over the place, and the evidence wasn't very damning, depending on perception. They left the door open for Fuller, and he slammed it in his own face.
