Crash experts testimony serves to contradict Kevin O'Neal's claim that Hayes was "mashing" brakes before crash into Will Smith's SUV

Sunseri says Hayes traveled 76 feet in 2 1/2 secs recorded from Hummer, broke at last 1/2 sec only, from 20 to 17 mph. Sunseri done. Break.

Daniels prods Sunseri to acknowledge lack of data from Magazine St. crash doesn't mean Smith didn't bump Hayes' Hummer from behind.

Sunseri: "The assumption is somebody following behind the vehicle is going to see (it) slow down."
Daniels: "Say that again. Assumption."

I'm not sure why they are still stuck on this

Wish they'd focus more on the scene of the shooting

Ajax, without doing a shite ton of reading, there won't be any readily available cliff notes... if you have a shite load of time I would suggest reading WWL's twitter timeline, they've followed the court case from the beginning

What Fred posted will be your best bet I think

Got your PM Fred, thanks... first PM I've gotten in years - I've been (trying to, allegedly, from legal experts) behaving myself lately

ETA: but if you wanna catch up quick, Fred is right. That blog serves that purpose.

Couple questions:

besides a possible other witness and maybe hayes' family friends to attest to his character, is there anyone else Fuller may call? He can't call a same witness state did correct?

Remind me what again is needed from 12 jurors for a conviction?

State’s next witness is retired NOPD Capt. William Ceravolo. He looks likely to be the prosecution’s final witness. #CardellHayes @NOLANews

is that common? just seems trial redundant for the attornies to go harping on same shite and run risks of witness being requestioned and more opportunities for story confusion.

Ceravolo says Smith was happy at Sake Cafe. Wasn't belligerent. Didn't seem he had too much to drink.

The state to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Hayes did not reasonably fear for his life or well being.

Did the state prove that to you Chad?

Kind of the point. For example, there were some things Racquel Smith said that were refuted by other witnesses. Fuller can bring her back and hammer that point home, and maybe she will crack even more
