Why would anyone not have direct deposit?

Nothing bothers me more than when I need to go to the customer service desk for something and 6-10 people are in front of me cashing checks because they don't have direct deposit or a bank account

I've seen people who work at the bottom of where I work who don't have it because they are in the red from overdraft fees and shite and they don't want to have to pay back those fees.

When I sold cars my sales manager didn't have it because he didn't want his wife to know how much he made. He hid about 25% from her.

You can't get a good looking teller's number with direct deposit. Back in my 20s, when I lived in SF, LA and Seattle, I met a few nice ladies that way.
