If you don't live in the area you have no vote on the issue.

It's a bout shitty school system and they were forced to form a city out of an unincorporated area first. Just look at Zachary and Central as opposed to before when they were part of EBRPSB.

Lots of black folk in the area which will become the City of St. George who are all for it. It's NOT a lilly white part of EBRP

There's also the notion that it's this uber-rich area because it includes CCLA and U-Club. Some of the biggest neighborhoods within the borders (Shenandoah, Old Jefferson, Jefferson Terrace, etc.) are all solidly middle class areas.

If St. George ultimately puts the private schools out of business, isn’t that a good thing? Wouldn’t that mean that the public schools are better than those schools, and everyone is getting a quality education?

Hell, I hope it does put the private schools out of business.

What's the point? Wouldn't this hurt chs Parkview etc? Brmhs too

If, and it’s still a big if, a new ISD is eventually created, it would substantially harm the viability of Parkview and St. Michael (Dunham and Episcoal to a lesser extent.)

CHS and SJA would be just fine.

BRHS would draw from a smaller student population so they’d either lower numbers or lower standards.

St Mich would be fine. They take the overflow from CHS/SJA.

Parkview on other hands, would be on the clock.

After the Braves loss last night, I just want to watch the world burn, so I hope it doesn’t pass.
