Well that answers that question.

Your post was a bunch of nonsensical jargon

Explain in detail how “the lack of understanding one another” made this kid want to commit mass murder?

Be specific

We are completely lost as a society it’s no surprise kids who are confused behave this way. America will die from a slow moral decay that results in us voting away our own rights.
Yup. We've degenerated as a culture far enough that the mentally ill, the dangerous people that can't function in civil society fit right in-- rather than stick out.

I don’t keep up with news in other countries but are school shootings a routine event overseas?

You incorrectly paint me as someone who relies on “thoughts and prayers” and your solution is “try something”

You miss my point entirely. I’m not offering what I think would be the solution because it’s besides the point. I don’t care to argue about what should be done.

My point isn’t about what specifically needs to be done, but that change is needed. I have opinions but they are as irrelevant as yours or anyone else’s, because no one knows. If we were a functionable society, we would try different approaches until we found a healthy mix of countermeasures that seem to work.

But instead, half the people don’t want anything to be done because they “don’t think” it will do anything.

would agree with this solution, but I’m always afraid that if we give any ground to the anti-gun side, it will be the beginning of the end.

I'm with you there. Even with a maximum scrutinization of any doctor involved in determining if someone is mentally ill....it will eventually become corrupt, just as everything else has. If that is the case, then unfortunately the best solution is to just accept that these mass shootings will happen and to just hope that you nor your family are involved, ever. That's basically where I have been at with this for years. Nothing is going to budge. The left offer no logical solutions. The rights solutions related to mental illness are valid, but very complicated to establish and very susceptible to corruption from both sides. Without some sort of war to just determine how the future will be laid out, we are truly better off just accepting that mass shootings will happen and moving on hoping it doesn't happen to you....which it likely wont.

Just about all of these mass shootings are done by someone with clear signs of mental illness, and yet they somehow keep finding the one tool that enables them to kill a whole bunch of people in a short amount of time.
what about the one in China where there are no guns and he killed like 30 kids with a knife. So I guess China has a knife problem.

I'm not saying that kids/young adults who do never do anything wrong but I'd be shocked if he had a normal home life.

That’s terrible. Does that same thing happen again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again?

Did the same thing happen again and again and again and again and again prior to thirty years ago, despite the same access to firearms?

I disagree here. I think the decline of the nuclear family has led to the decay of society and morals more than anything else in the past 50 years.

I agree, and we saw it first with black families starting with LBJs War on Poverty (or war on blacks). Before this blacks were even more likely than whites to live a nuclear family.

We can’t even agree on what the actual problem is, so offering solutions is skipping a major step in the process.

The first widely publicized school shooting occurred about 8 miles from where I grew up at Pearl high school in 1997. A year later was Columbine. Since then this country has become super violent. I feel sorry for kids these days.

It’s just maddening and it comes from one side, every time. Everyone is horrified but the left will always bring up gun control within minutes. Which means my AR, even if an AR wasn’t used.

And if they’re lucky and its a white shooter, its a bonus Bc then they can make it a hate crime too.

This country has always been super violent, but school shootings are a new phenomenon.

Kind of points to guns not being the issue, now doesn't it?
