You mean our lawmakers are financially incompetent and don't have the State's best interests in mind when they enact legislation?

No! Can't be!

Shocked.

GTFO with this Together Louisiana propaganda.

Louisiana stays poor because it’s citizens don’t value education while it’s politicians are complicit in nefarious activities that take care of themselves first. Preying on its populous with the idea that the government is here to solve all problems.

These are not why LA is poor.

Louisiana is poor because of cultures that foment counterproductive and socially destructive habits and behavior.

Corrupt politicians and a high African American population is why Louisiana stays poor. Dumb white trash have a role too but to a lesser extent

Their solution to not being poor is to tax all the chemical companies into oblivion

Bingo

Our populace is uneducated, and our politicians claim to “help” them by giving them freebies and enabling them to stay uneducated in order to stay in power. There’s a reason why we have trouble attracting industries here to the state. Why bring them here when it will bring jobs to people who then won’t have to depend on government? You think our politicians want that?

You want to make Louisiana rich? Start deregulating free enterprise and give these people jobs.

Yep. And in the short run it will “work”. Meaning companies will pay the taxes, Louisiana will be “richer” and the leeches involved in this “Together ______” nonsense will get theirs.

In the long run, the companies will expand elsewhere, defer maintenance on projects here, and ultimately shut down.

So then Louisiana is even worse than it’s current situation. But hey everyone got “theirs” in the short-run.

Meanwhile, the former head of LED just landed Amazon HQ2 and is building a technology innovation center for Virginia Tech nextdoor to the new HQ.

Yup. That’s why everyone should get welfare and Medicare. Put the money into the hands of the people. Pay for it by taxing businesses. If the businesses leave the state, then it won’t matter bc people will have money and medical care no matter what.

They're not incompetent. They're corrupt. They get kickbacks, their families get jobs, the get campaign contributions and hunting trips and all other kinds of goodies.

That's not what that video is getting at at all, but it's good that you have provided an example of the poor education and low intelligence of so much of the population of Louisiana.

The obvious idiocy of this post is the glaring disparity of the way we do things versus every other state. Texas gets much more tax revenue and the companies aren't being taxed into oblivion nor are they running out of the state.

We don't have any trouble attracting petrochemical industries to this state.
