I'm 30 and smoke. I used to have a big stereotype about it, but it helps me relax and have less anxiety. I smoke at home and mind my own business. Generally before bed. It's absurd it's not legal.

You'd think fast food and snack food companies would be lobbying to make it legal.

I'm a republican and go to church every week, but I've come around on this in recent years and think it should be legal.

The fact that every night people go to happy hour and drive home buzzed/drunk and everyone's ok with that, but a dude is smoking a joint and gets hailed to jail is wrong.

I do think it should be controlled like Colorado.

I'll be honest, this bugs me. Your job should not be allowed to dictate what you do in private so long as it is not illegal.

You should not be allowed to fire the guy who smokes a joint on Friday at happy hour but keep the guy who has a few drinks.

Most good answers in this thread have already covered it, but by time my generation (people in their mid twenties-early thirties) come to be the ones passing laws it'll be legal everywhere. I also anticipate we will take a much different approach to drug laws and turn away from the heavy handed hard policing agenda, to something more like Switzerland where they have established rehab centers people can go to get get clean needles, a shower, maybe a meal, some counseling. That's how you combat addiction, not locking people away.
