You paid $50 to reserve a bay for only an hour?

The last time we went, it was on a Saturday night with no reservations. It was 6 of us. They told us it would be a 3 hr wait. We went eat, took out time.. Watching games... Talking & bullshitting around. Without ever thinking about "damn! how much longer do we have", we got a message that a bay was ready. The wait was just under 2 hrs.

We were there for about 4hrs. With 6 of us, minus the drinks, between food and playing it cost right over $21 a person.

$21 to eat and play for 4 hrs isn't bad at all. And the place was packed. Unless someone is having some type of birthday party or group gathering, paying $50 to reserve a bay is stupid.

I agree with the OP. It’s fun, but you spend over $100 for 1 or 2 hours of fun and minimum drinks and food.

A good friend of mine told me that since football season ended, he has brought his family there 7 or 8 times. They will go on Sunday afternoon. For a family of 4 he said the most he spent was about $75.

$75 every few Sundays, for a family of 4 to eat and spend some time with each other playing top golf games really isn't that bad. That is about what you would spend at the movies, between tickets and getting drinks, popcorn and candy.. Or whatever.

It’s fun every once in a while. Anyone who goes regularly is fricking weird.

ETA: and the better question is what’s with everyone’s infatuation with it, to the point of talking shite to people who like it? Equally odd.

I agree with the others in this thread that said you should divorce your wife.

Went to the BTR location last night.

Just my gf and I. Played for maybe two hours. For beers, food, mixed drinks, and playing time it was under 150 bucks.

Not too bad.

I will say this, no one between 8 and 10 could hit worth a crap consistently. After about 30 minutes of wacking the sides of the range and everywhere else, I was consistently on the black and white. Watching for good hits, you would see one for every Two hundred balls flying out there

ETA: no bragging, I shoot about 100 in real golf. More just pointing out that everyone is equally bad. But some are mote equal than others.
