The regulations are always stricter for spirits. Why is this?

Any clownshow can serve beer or wine but getting a liquor license is much more intense.

That varies by state and locality. In Louisiana I am pretty sure it is one type of permit for any alcohol and one type of bar card for any type of alcohol.

Here in Harris county you can only buy liquor from a liquor store Monday thru Saturday. Beer and wine are bought from liquor stores, grocery stores, gas stations etc. Can't buy anything Sunday morning though.

Dumbass conservative Christians want to ruin everything. Normal people have only been able to pry beer and wine out of their grasp so far.

If only Jesus had changed water to gin.

Round there, if you purchase liquor on the sabbath day, it's a sinny sin sin.

You need to look at it from the opposite direction. Anything with alcohol used to be treated the same. Easing some of the restrictions on beer & wine was a compromise.

It's similar to marijuana laws. All weed was illegal everywhere, then places started easing restrictions and legalized medical marijuana. Now recreational usage is legal (but highly regulated) in a lot of states, but any usage or possession is still illegal in most places.

Christians want the United States to be like an Islamic country where alcohol is illegal.

Those Sunday laws are fricking retarded. We would go to a black town on the south side to buy beer on Sunday when I was in school. Best part was the gas station had a dude selling Alton Sterling greatest hits CDs in the parking lot.

So instead of stopping us from getting drunk on Sunday, this law had the unintended consequence of helping us get high too.
