Your wife wanted you to go. You said you weren’t. Now she’s unhappy.

Where’s the part where you “won an argument”?

Even if she was good with it, that doesn’t mean you “won” anything. It simply means you have a mutual understanding. In this case, you don’t, which is why you feel the way you do.

If you think about marriage in terms of wins/losses, all winning means is that you married to a loser.

Bitching about things like this is the biggest cuck move ever. You should have beat the frick out of her and told her to stay home while you went to the bar with your pahdnahs.

Why wouldn't you do something for her?

It's not that big a deal.

I never get people like you. SHE wants you there with her. She wants you to meet some of her old friends. It’s selfish as frick to not go. Also it’s sort of sad that you can’t have a good time with your wife. Just think of it as a night out with her.

that's what I think too... it's one evening, for a few hours and dude can probably have a few drinks and chill out while he's there.

I don't really understand what the problem is. Just go to the party. She wants you there. Who knows you might meet some people that are cool. He should just go, have a few drinks, dance like a fool and then bang the ole lady in the hotel after. Sounds like a win all around.

There’s no such thing as winning an argument with a woman.

Even if you don't know them, she does. Go mingle. You might find a classmate you like. Same thing happened to me. Most people are friendly and don't bite.

It’s opposite of whatever they say.

If they say it’s fine, it’s not.

If they say nothing is wrong there is something wrong.

If they say okay I understand they don’t understand.

They want a coke nope it was Pepsi .

And on and on.. oh and you’re supposed to know this too without asking questions.

based on Op's post- she was clear in what she wanted- him to go with her to her HS reunion.

OP ITA for being such a douche and not going with her.

If it was important to me that my husband accompany me somewhere to a social function and he chose not to go 'bc he would not know anyone and wouldn't have fun" I'd be upset too.

OP needs to man up and go with his wife. This isn't a complicated situation at all.
