No I believe it.
Inised to not eat breakfast. Gained a shitload of weight and felt like crap
Changed my eating habits. Cut back on dinner and started eating a consistent balanced breakfast and dropped a ton of weight.

So it wasn’t the breakfast...

Because they’re waiting for it to be easy.

Most people don't have the will power to eat less of what they enjoy thereby decreasing their calorie intake allowing them to lose weight

Well there's hard scientific evidence that you're wrong. There's not much opinion on the topic.

This. It’s not “hard work,” but it takes a commitment. I’m going through it now. I’m counting calories, cycling carbs, eating a ton of protein, tracking my workout, the whole nine. If you aren’t willing to put in the work, it won’t happen.

I'm confused as to how you don't see that you're proving my point. You stopped eating big dinners. You just chose a different meal to skip out on.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are arbitrary made up meals. If you consume less calories than you burn, you will lose fat. Period. End of story.
Adjusting macros and digging deeper into specifics can tweak smaller details, but eating at a deficit WILL result in fat loss. When you eat has nothing to do with it.
If you need breakfast because you are hungry in the morning, go for it. But it isn't some magical meal. In fact, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" was made up by a man named John Harvey Kellogg.
Kellogg. Sound familiar?

I think this whole thread explains why it’s hard to lose weight. Look at how many differing pieces of advice there are. Low carb vs. healthy carb. Eat breakfast vs skip breakfast. People accusing each other of using outdated science. Plenty of posts that start out with “All I did was _____”. “Eating healthy is expensive” vs “no it’s not, broccoli and chicken are cheap”
Conflicting information. It’s confusing and overwhelming. Yes, to lose weight eat fewer calories. But you can also eat too few calories and you won’t lose either. So don’t act like it’s as easy as waving a magic wand. If it was, everyone would be skinny.

Id like to see you explain how this works.

Hard to eat healthy when always on road with travel ball.

Boo hoo. Unless you have a legitimate medical condition, which can happen, the rest are just excuses. Dieting and exercising can be tailored and customized to a person’s goals, but facts are facts. If you want to lose weight, eat less and exercise.

Wow this whole thread is a dumpster fire
1. CORRECTLY determine about how many calories you burn daily
2. CORRECTLY measure calories consumed each day is less
3. Adjust accordingly and manage over time FOR LIFE
THAT IS ALL. Anything else is bullshite. People complicate it only because they need to excuse their fat asses from trying

People eat out too much
People eat too much calorie and carb laden fast food
People buy and consume too much processed junk foods
People drink loads of soft drinks
Too little physical exercise
Too much computer, tv and video games
ad infinitum

Try this article
Or this one:
“I’ve even seen clients who couldn’t lose weight that were suddenly able to after increasing their food intake. Quite the opposite of the “calories-in-calories-out” mentality!”
Or:
This one from Women’s Health
And if you still disagree, that further proves my point. Advice from professionals in this area that contradicts what many believe. (I am not A professional and never claimed to be. Just pointing out that when there is conflicting info, it can be confusing)

Are you trying to say that if you were to get into a time machine and end up in a Holocaust concentration camp.. you wouldn’t be thin..?

These are literally all just different methods of maintaining a deficit. Eat less often, guess what? You’re probably eating less calories. Eat less calorie dense items, guess what? You’re at a deficit.

Seriously? There’s obviously a difference between literal starvation and stalling out when trying to lose 10lbs.

Over 40 or so, eating earlier does help digestion and absorbtion.
