There are some religions that believe once you get married, you are expected to reproduce.

Are married couples with the inability to have children (naturally) who choose to use in vitro instead of adopting selfish?

If not for children , why tie yourself to one vagina for the rest of your life?

If you're well to do people and are at least middle to upper middle class and make bank with high moral character, it's your solemn duty to make your contribution to out reproducing the hoodrats, white trash and nanny state moochers.

People with kids want others to be as miserable as they are.

Maybe if there wasn't 7 billion people on the planet.
Anyone who thinks it's selfish is just a backwards moron

I think it's more selfish to have children if you don't want them or have the means to provide them with a better life that you had as a kid.

This is the correct answer.
Same reason married people are always pressuring singles to tie the knot.
"Quit having fun and grow up!"

I like to give them one of these:

Most of my friends are married and try to tell me and the gf this. Thankfully we're both happy with things the way they are.

Too many selfish fricks reproducing these days and diluting the gene pool.

I don't think it is.

I would rather someone realize they don't want kids than have them anyway and be shitty parents like many people so.

I want at least one kid to carry on my family name

Meh, I think this country would be better off if at least 20% of the ignorant selfish population wouldn't re-produce. People are stupid, so no use having kids if you are too stupid to know how to raise them.
The figure goes much higher for 3rd world in regards to who probably shouldn't have kids.

You will never be able to reproduce that quickly. This will be a much more socialistic country over the next fifty years than the past fifty.

This, too.
We need a baby ban, if anything.

I guess it could be if only one does and the other doesn't but regardless being selfish is an admirable quality. Why is it bad to look out for your own self-interest and do what makes you happy?
Posted on 12/23/14 at 6:33 pm to ellishughtiger
I don't think it's selfish. I think it's pretty unselfish if you know you don't want kids and don't buckle under the pressure to have them so you don't bitterly raise kids you didn't want in the first place.
That being said, as a woman I don't really understand how someone can feel that eay. But they may think I'm crazy with my 3. Who knows?
