Why in the flying frick does the US still require a negative Covid test to re enter?

Had to scramble to get a test at the last minute today. What pain in the arse. No test needed if you cross the border illegally it’s almost like this administration prioritizes illegals over their own citizens smh

Biden's bureaucracy took a major hit when the Federal Court System shot down their mask mandates. They will hang on to this as long as they can purely out of being sniveling little bitches.
Unless the Courts can take this down, the Covid test requirement will exist as long as Biden is President. Because he and his handlers are petty pieces of shite.

It is beyond ridiculous
Currently on an Alaskan cruise that started in anchorage and ending Friday in Vancouver. I have to get tested at the Vancouver airport to fly home.
Others on cruise are cruising back to anchorage but do not have to test to fly home.

#1 - the Covid test for re-entry pertains to AIR travel only (so you can go spend the day in Tijuana and come back without a test if you walk or drive over)
#2 - ‘if’ the illegals are caught and detained, they are getting a Covid test
