Why don’t cars have an option for both defrost and body air?

They only have feet and defrost. Is this for mechanical reasons? frick it’s cold and wet outside

If you’re slamming the defrost hard then you’re also blowing a bunch of hot air into the interior. Not sure what your issue is

Your defrost is blowing heat into the cab as well. It’s not escaping through the windshield

Probably because it's unnecessary, I think my old Nissan Maxima had that option and it was worthless. Defrost or defrost/feet is plenty.

My truck offers defrost with two other settings. I used defrost, cab, and floor blowing today come to think of it.

Son and I was just discussing this a couple of days ago. Seems odd that is not an option for air flow.

They do. Mine has that + heated seat + a heat vent in the headrest that blows on the back of my neck. All depends on the car you choose to buy.
