Eh, most men, or at least most white men, wear swimming shirts at the beach today. 20 years ago, men were more exposed from the waist up at the beach than women. But nowadays, men are actually more covered from the waist up because men wear shirts, while women are still expected to be in their bra-like bikini tops since swimming shirts are considered to be manly. Most of the men who still go shirtless are black men since they don't have to worry about sunburns.

And of course men are much less exposed from the waist down at the beach than women, which already was the case 20 years ago.
