Why do we call other moons by their names but Earth's moon is just the Moon?

Just a random shower thought but I'm on board for a new name for our solar system ally that prevents our days from behind 7 hours long

Shower thought? Sounds more like someone’s been smoking the reefer.

And I don’t see any reason to change the name from Luna

We don’t assume our moon’s name.

Feminist movement started early in Italy.

They shouldve went with Bob

Besides, we call entire countries by different names than they give themselves. Why should we take the Italians name for the moon. Needs a strong murica name

Because our moon is THE moon, not just a moon. Where do you think tO$U got the idea to stress the definite article?

Why not Tyrell since it’s a “moon of color”?

Without Bob's gravitational pull the Earth would rotate 1 time per 7ish hours instead of 24 hours as it is now

But the other Bobs go by different names such as Will, Bill, Bender, Calvin, Homer, and Howard.

The more you know...

And our moon doesn't really strike me as a "Bob".

Why do you call your wife “wife” and to everyone else’s wife you call them by their given names?

Well it almost never goes full Bob. More of a half Bob most of the time
