Why do the obese gravitate to small cars?

I'm not talking mazda 3's either. Think aveos and ford fiestas.
Seems counterproductive to me. And just plain bad for the car

They're more likely to have less success in their careers so maybe that is all they can afford.

Probably a correlation between them being obese and earning less. This forces them to purchase more economical cars that they can afford, thus them being smaller cars.

There are a lot of correlations (inverse) between weight and income. The heavier you are the lower your income tends to be. Small cars are generally cheaper.
