Obesity rates amongst the poor and working class are probably higher than amongst the middle and upper classes. They can't afford nice, spacious cars.

I'm not talking mazda 3's either. Think aveos and ford fiestas.
Seems counterproductive to me. And just plain bad for the car
OMG Like foreal!
One other thing that I hate about fatties is they like to wear small coats

How a poor person can be fat is beyond me.

The cheapest, most available foods in low income areas are high in caloric density. Also, whether you want to acknowledge this or not everyone needs hobbies and eating is a cheap, social way to occupy ones time
Also our jobs don't require a lot of physical exertion so working poor are probably sitting around at work, eating poorly, and then not exercising along with the rest of the country

The same reason that some autistic kids wear pressure shirts. The coziness soothes their anxiety.

Dude, does this car make me look fat?
It's not that the cars are small, it's that the occupants are BIG!
Back in High School I saw an enormous older sister of a reasonably hot gal driving a VW Beetle. It looked like her boobs were doing the steering, they appeared to go through the steering wheel.

Biggest fricking bullshite lie ever. The cheapest foods are rice, veggies, fruits, etc. Have you priced a Burger King meal lately? They're damn near $10 now. For that price you could buy a whole chicken, a head of broccoli, and 10 servings of brown rice.
Fat people are fat because they eat. A lot. Frequently. And that is expensive. They go to McDonald's and eat 3-4 entrees, 3-4 times a day.
Hell, even if you ate fast food for lunch and dinner and opted for the diet soda, and that's all you ate, you'd probably do fine.
