lol bullshite, talk about lying. Literally 25k steps is over 2 straight hours of walking at a steady pace

My most steps in the last 365 days was 33,469. Ran 5 miles that morning along the beach in Australia and then walked around almost the entire day. Getting $25k “regularly” is pretty absurd.

I have 25k days with some regularity, but those typically include 36 holes of golf amongst some other activity

Yea if I walk a round of golf I’ll get 15-18k

In no way is someone getting 25k from yard work unless he is doing yard work for around 3 hours straight or so

Every 10k steps is roughly 5 miles, sorry but ole boy ain’t walking 12+ miles doing yard work

Someone getting 15k steps a day can pretty much eat what they want and maintain weight, within reason.

I wouldn't say it's "absurd". It's fairly easy to do depending on what physical activity you like to do, provided you have the spare time.

I lost my balance years ago from a medical incident, and I managed to build back enough balance to walk unassisted again, but I haven't managed to build it back enough to run, so I 'ruck march' A LOT, instead. 2-3 hours daily, and at least one 20-30 miler a week (kids are grown, so I have lots of time ).

Point being, I have a pretty good idea of what it takes to hit 25k, and for me it's around 11 miles at an extended 'ruck march stride'. I'll just say the guy must have a HUGE yard.

At over 25k I can attest that you can drink all you want as well.

The cell phone apps are really inaccurate.
I saw a comparison one time of various trackers and if I recall the apple phone or watch was surprisingly accurate.

Too lazy to look it up. Busy doing steps.

I walk in place when I’m riding the elevator up to the office.

the pond alone is 3.5 acres. So yes it's a bitch and it takes an entire Saturday with a decent break in the middle if I'm mowing edging and blowing.

House is also on a hill.

I got coworkers claiming 10-15K steps and they barely want to get off their arse to get work done. Mostly with big pot bellies.

It's possible to walk 15k steps a day and still be fat af if your eating is sh*t.

I work an office job. I’m at 1300 steps, but I do leave my phone at the desk a good bit. Still, not much movement and the real killer are the 1500 calories when I meet customers for lunch. I think this job is killing me slowly.

Yes it is. My route usually takes me past a city sports complex with a track and I regularly see a lot of the same overweight people walking and even running it. Some for years now.

Sometimes I want to yell, "it's what you're eating!" as I'm walking by, but that would be rude and it's really none of my business.

All of the bumps in the Causeway give me an extra 2,000 or so steps on my daily commute, lol.

I think they're just trying to say 25k is numerous miles of walking, and it is to be assumed you're not sprinting through your yard work.

For the average person, there are roughly 2,000 steps in a mile. However, this number can vary slightly depending on your stride length, height, and the pace at which you're walking or running.

me either, I look at mine on days where I keep my phone with me. But generally I put it up around 5 unless I have something going on....pick back up in morning at 6:30, I simply refuse to give a shite about it. But on a weekend of piddling around the yard listening to music I get a ton of steps in, more that my 2 mile walk around the neighborhood.

Over the last year I’m at 11,873 per day. Shooting for a 15k month but it’s a lot. Given I have desk job I need to mix in 2-3 walks a day. Took a 2 mile lunch walk today with a 3 miler planned for post dinner. Getting 10k a day isn’t real tough but upping that to 15k is a lot tougher on the weekdays.

I mix in a good incline walk on the treadmill 4-5 days a week to get a better cardio workout in
