Why do siblings fight?

My brother and I played around the house everyday, and not one day passed where we didn’t want to knock each other out. Whether it’s was playing football, playing in the lake, or wrestling.

Ever since the day he moved out of the house, we stopped fighting. We have some weird respect for each other now and I can’t describe it.

Anyway, is there something psychological that makes siblings like this to each other?
Did anyone else have a similar experience once a sibling left the house?

Fighting for resources. It’s a basic instinct even in the modern world. We perceive them as a threat.

Because they are around each other all day every day. Same reason a husband and wife fight..............verbally

Cane and Abel? Or Kane and the Undertaker? It’s inherent.

Unless you’re from Arkansas, then the symbolically part become far more literal.

My brother and I still come close to having knock down drag outs. We’re 22 and 20.

They cant take their verbal frustration out on their parents if they got want to get whooped, so they take it out on each other. That being when a kid is in their younger years. Jmo.

That will pass with time. In another 10-20 years you’ll be closer to him than anyone else other than your spouse.

My sister always made it known that she was in charge when we were kids. Punched me one time for a stupid reason but now we are the best of friends.

In my case, my brother and sister were 10 & 11 years older than me and they used to frick with me so I'd do shite to get back at them when they were not home.. It was mostly my brother. When he got home and would see what I did, he would put wrestling moves on me... Like suplexing me on the bed but make sure I would hit up against the wall.

Then bribe me to not go tell my parents.

Not trying to be an a-hole, but I know you’re wheelchair confined. Was this before or after the suplexes? Did an errant pile driver cause your fate?

Because we are animals. You ever see puppies fighting over a nipple? They will literally kill the weakest one to give themselves a better chance for survival.

We like to think we are more civilized but that's a luxury we have due to an abundance of resources. Cut the world food supply by 90% and see what happens.

Was just talking about this tonight.

I was the youngest, and I fought with my older brother and sister almost daily. I'm talking about knock down drag out fights where my mom would get a call at work almost daily.

Ever since teenage years we've all been cool as frick. Weird how that works.
