Why do people wear fedoras?

First, it's not a fedora, it's a trilby.
Second, it's a gentleman's hat and it helps women identify who the real gentleman are.
Third, my trilby exudes more class and sophistication than your J. Crew jeans and Patagonia zip-ups could ever hope for. You're a child.
Fifth, it shows that I'm just generally more intelligent and intellectual than you sheep.
Plus I got it for free when I purchased my fingerless gloves.

Wouldn't wear either. An old man wearing a suit can pull off the fedora. A dude wearing casual clothes appears to be a stoner who hasn't accomplished anything in life. Shouldn't judge by appearances, but we all do to some degree.
